  • COVID-19 Spring Season Update

    Posted March 16, 2020

    Dear CYSA Family & Friends,

A quick update regarding starting our Spring Season.  Staying in line with much of the State regarding the Covid 19/coronavirus, CYSA, is not starting activities until at least after next week.  The school has asked everyone to honor their field closure during the school closure.  The CYSA board will revisit all schedules after next week, on or about 3/30.

As you may have already seen, our governing body, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) has suspended all activity for the month of March.  Most leagues that we play in will likely not start outdoor seasons until April 18th or later and all leagues will be reevaluating on a regular basis.  CYSA will do the same.

Putting our players, coaches, and families well-being first is everyone’s goal.  Be safe and be well!

About CYSA

CYSA emphasizes fun, sportsmanship and fair play. We are prepared to teach the newcomer to the experienced player the fundamentals of the game with a focus on technique, in order to provide our youth competitive play. CYSA U6 teams play in an in-house league at North Catasauqua Park. Recreational teams compete in the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL). Travel teams compete in Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League (LVYSL).

Catasauqua has a documented history of success in sports. In keeping with this tradition our main goal is to establish and build a successful program in our community. Although CYSA is at its core a feeder program for the Catasauqua School District middle school and high school teams, we welcome all players from our surrounding districts and municipalities.

Children from ages 4 to 18 are welcome to sign up and play with their friends, family, and neighbors.
